The Upbeat music interview show with Peretz Eichler our guest today is the Composer and singer Yossi Green .

ossi Green (born in Tel Aviv, Israel) is a composer of Jewish music. His works include some major hits of the Jewish industry.[1] He wrote his first international hit song for Yigal Calek and the London School of Jewish Song in 1973.
He has composed over 200 songs on over 120 CDs. Most of his lyrics are drawn from primary Jewish texts (Torah, Midrash & Talmud) while some are drawn from other Jewish source (biographies of famous Rabbis, such as Ramban).
Singers that he has composed for include Avraham Fried, Dedi, Mordechai Ben David, & Yaakov Shwekey. Green's major hits include Kol Bera'ama, Tanya, Aderaba, Daagah Minayin, Didoh Bei, Shomati, Ve'erastich & Anovim Anovim.
His solo album, The 8th Note, was awarded "Best Album of 2008,″ "Best Debut Album of 2008″ from Israel's Radio Kol Chai and had two songs on Kol Chai's top 10 songlist of 2008.[2] The album was also chosen by British Airways to feature as a world music selection from February 2011 until June 2011 through Feld Music Productions.[3]
Green lives in Sea Gate, N.Y., with his wife Brigitte and children.

Teem Productions proudly announced the upcoming release of a new album by Yisroel Werdyger, his third, titled Oideh Lokeil. Arranged by Shua Fried and Yanky Briskman, the album features 12 songs by composers such as the great Rabbi Hillel Palei, Pinky Weber and Motti Illowitz.

Oideh Lokeil is packed with a full 60 minutes of Jewish music at it best. As with Werdyger's preceding two albums, Bayis Ne'eman and Ashira Vaazamra, Werdyger and the Teem once again prove that music can be heimish and proudly Jewish, yet still provide as much high octane drive as anything else out on the market.

 In addition to the many new tracks, the album also includes the hit single Mesikus Hatorah, which became wildly popular in Israel after it was released there earlier this year. The song features a new arrangement and completely re-recorded vocals for this album. Oideh Lokeil features choir arrangements by the talented Moishy Krauss as well as guest choir performances by Mezamrim on two songs. This album will have you listening over and over again.

Many Yeshivos, Jewish cemeteries and Jewish owned businesses were damaged and desecrated. Kristallnacht, the night of broken glass, marked an intensification of Nazi anti-Jewish policy that would culminate in the Holocaust—the systematic, state-sponsored murder of Jews.

From the 2012 Winner of the Jewish Star International Music Competition comes a first musical release - the music video of his recent award-winning song. Filmed by Danny Finkelman, the film captures Dovid Moskovits on a journey - spiritual and practical - to meet the Sofer and receive his tefillin. The story follows Dovid from his house in Kew Garden Hills, NY through the streets of ethnic Williamsburg as he journeys to the Sofer's workshop. The shots of the Sofer, working diligently at his task tell the story of an ancient and mystical craft. The moving film captures the spirit of a 12 year old boy on a quest to achieve manhood and prepare for his Bar Mitzvah. And the building intensity of the moment in his life - for which he is preparing. Dovid's intense performance draws the listener in with the heartfelt feeling of gratitude he expresses to the God of the Universe every step of the way - in his journey to the Sofer, in his journey to his Bar Mitzvah and in his journey through life.
